Key Takeaways

• The new capacitive Camera Control button sits too far down in portrait orientation, making thumb slide gestures precarious and drop-prone.
• The 5x tetraprism telephoto stretches minimum focus distance past 1.2 meters, frustrating tabletop food photography with blurry focus hunting.
• Wired charging speeds remain conservatively throttled around 27W, taking ~75 minutes to fill 3,582mAh.
• Advertised marquee Apple Intelligence features (screen context awareness, deep app actions) were missing entirely at launch.

✅ Pros

• A18 Pro silicon sets the gold standard for single-core efficiency and cool thermals
• Razor-thin symmetrical display borders create stunning screen immersion
• Studio-grade four-mic array with groundbreaking Audio Mix features

❌ Cons

• Awkward Camera Control button placement in portrait grip
• 5x telephoto has an annoyingly long minimum focus distance
• Sluggish ~27W wired charging curve
• Promised marquee Apple Intelligence features severely delayed

📝 Verdict

"iPhone 16 Pro is a refined engineering marvel burdened by awkward camera button ergonomics and missing AI promises."

Key takeaways

• Golden size: 6.3 inches combines a big-screen view with easy one-handed use, and the weight distribution is sensible.
• 4K120fps slow-motion recording: it supports 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording, and you can freely adjust playback speed afterwards in the Photos app, with silky-smooth footage.
• Battery life tests: with heavy daily use from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., it still had 25% battery left, better battery life than the previous 15 Pro.

✅ Pros

• 4K120fps recording gives very high creative latitude
• The 5x telephoto performs excellently in a compact body
• Noticeably better heat control than the 15 Pro

❌ Cons

• When shooting in landscape, the Camera Control button sits a bit too far in, so you have to stretch your finger slightly

• Comfortable proportions on the ultra-narrow-bezel 6.3-inch screen
• Powerful A18 Pro performance and a noticeably improved graphene thermal structure
