• Over-aggressive fan profile spins up screaming high-pitched fans even while idling on a blank desktop page.
• Advertised 'AI-enhanced' webcam produces aggressive smudgy noise reduction with ghostly edge artifacts in dim light.

• Touchpad corners suffer from dead zones, dropping smooth two-finger scrolling frames unpredictably.

✅ Pros

• Efficient Snapdragon X architecture
• Decent lightweight aluminum mobility
• Chic multi-color AI activity indicator light

❌ Cons

• Shrill fans spin up unpredictably at idle
• Aggressive smudgy webcam processing

• Video: Acer Swift 14 AI (Lunar Lake): Great Battery Life, Cheap Laptop
• Channel: Just Josh | Type: Full review (Intel Lunar Lake version) | Based on: YouTube transcript

Key points

• Reviewing the Intel Lunar Lake version, with a low-resolution, 60Hz screen; it comes with 32GB of RAM, but the performance can't make use of that much.
• Fan noise is noticeable during performance tasks, and the look and feel trail other premium laptops.
• On a lap or a blanket the volume drops noticeably, and the speakers lack both clarity and bass.
• Oddly, performance is actually better when unplugged.
• The biggest strength is battery life, including under sustained heavy load.

✅ Pros

• Great battery life

❌ Cons

• Low-resolution, 60Hz screen
• Loud fans
• Poor speakers
• Price too high
• Doesn't feel premium enough

📝 Verdict

Only competitive below US$800; at the same price, the Zenbook S14 is more premium and has OLED.

• Video: Acer Swift 14 AI Review: The Ultimate Windows Laptop?
• Channel: My Next Tablet | Type: Long-term review (over a month of use) | Based on: YouTube transcript

Key points

• Equipped with the Core Ultra 7 258V and used for more than a month.
• Under heavy load the temperature is about 75°C, and the chassis only gets warm.
• Gaming at native 1800p on max settings runs at about 45fps, or about 30fps with ray tracing on.
• 65W USB-C charging, no SD card slot; the 90Hz isn't a variable refresh rate and uses more power than 60Hz.
• The webcam has an ultra-wide field of view and is better than typical 1080p laptop cameras, but colors are washed out.

✅ Pros

• Excellent battery life
• Good performance, low temperatures
• Good keyboard and user experience

❌ Cons

• No SD card slot
• 90Hz isn't variable refresh rate
• Washed-out webcam colors

📝 Verdict

Well worth buying for people who prefer Windows and need long battery life; the 13-inch MacBook Air is similar in price and performance.

✅ Pros

• Ample performance
• Full set of ports
• Matte touchscreen
• Good battery life

❌ Cons

• Average screen quality
• Many model variants can be confusing

📝 Verdict

A good choice at about US$1,200 (better on sale); the only drawback is the average screen.
